چکیده
Today, CT has assumed the diagnostic role as the primary urologic imaging modality. The diagnostic value of urological CT is threefold. First, unenhanced CT has essentially replaced the IVP as the imaging test of choice for patients with symptoms of acute renal colic. Second, CT has proven to be a superior test for detecting and characterizing renal parenchymal masses and third, CT urography has become increasingly accepted in the work-up for painless hematuria.
